The FuelCell family of New Balance’s running shoes is known for competitive-bent construction. At the core is the FuelCell midsole, a nitrogen-based foam that provides propulsive toe-off. The Echo has a rippled rubber outsole for reliable traction and a sock-like engineered knit upper.
New Balance’s Fresh Foam Beacon v2 belongs in the class beside the original Hoka One One Clifton and Saucony’s Kinvara line. Lightweight and ultra-soft, this shoe is ideal for competitive long-distance racing. The second iteration has an improved fit with a comfortably roomier upper.
A tester described the Wave Sky Waveknit’s ride as “comfortable, dispersive, and responsive.” The above is all achieved with its layers of three foams in the midsole. One of them, XPOP, is made of bouncy TPU pellets fused in PU foam. This enhances durability and energy return.
Runners love the Bandit for all-over comfort, from its two-toned, breathable mesh upper down to its Charged Cushioning midsole. The latter is firmer in the heel and softer in the forefoot for a high-rebound landing and push-off.
The Wave Rider delivers snappy turnover thanks to the Wave plate in its midsole. The outsole is durable, with thick carbon rubber in the heel and lighter blown rubber in the forefoot.
The dual midsole in the Rogue translates to comfort and high rebound on your run, while an external heel counter provides stability and support. The shoe also has reflective details for 360 visibility.
The comfy and plush Duramo 9 was already at a bargain price, but this Prime Day deal makes it literally a steal. A heel pad in the Cloudfoam midsole provides soft cushioning and support. The Adiwear outsole is made of non-marking, no-slip rubber. The women’s shoe runs large, so you may need to size down.
